Visual social commentary was not a high priority for creative expression during my formative years as an artist. I was preoccupied with an attempt to escape from what ‘was’, to what ‘ought to be’, not realizing there is no eradicating life experiences, for they come full circle.

Currently, I select specific topics or themes and explore their possibilities for ideas; my main focus is documenting homeless people, which has required me to change my technique and media of materials.

Prisma colored pencils has provided me an opportunity to convey a message representing past and present.
